Charitable Trusts and Foundations

Help us deliver compassionate care to patients with life-limiting illnesses while achieving your charitable goals

Support from Trusts and Foundations is essential for The Hospice, enabling us to finance our core services, replace equipment, and pursue new initiatives, all while keeping our patients and community at the heart of everything we do.

The Hospice receives less than 35% of its funding from the NHS, meaning that any donations, grants, and sponsorship are invaluable to the running of our services. We need to raise £3.5 million from other sources to deliver the care our community needs and deserves.

If you know of any Trust or Foundation, no matter the size, that could contribute to any aspect of Hospice work, please contact our Trusts Fundraiser Steffi at smedrano@pwh.org.uk or 01977 708868.

Here are just some of the ways you can help to make a difference:

Nursing care: Our 14 bed In-care unit provides around the clock care for patients who need symptom management in order to return home, or have chosen the safety and dignity of our Hospice for care at the end of their life.

£44,904 could cover all the costs of employing a full-time Registered Nurse for one year.

Capital improvement: Garden Renovation Phase2:
We have made some of our garden more accessible and improved some patient patios, to increase therapeutic benefits for our patients.

£100,000 could completely transform our grounds and the remaining In-care room patios.

Medical Equipment- Replacement Initiative:
We constantly strive to improve care, using specialist equipment.

£1,568 could purchase a syringe driver for steady, level pain relief.

Kitchen Expansion Project:
We are expanding The Caring Kitchen to increase its capacity and sustainability, ensuring we can continue to provide excellent food for our patients, staff, volunteers, visitors, and the community.

£4,300 could buy an environment-conscious induction range to allow us to provide food within our strategic goal of being a sustainable organisation.
